Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe (HCEE) has launched a new 22 tonne crawler excavator, the HX210AL. The new model forms part of the company’s new A-series machines which have been built to create better conditions for operators.
The new HX210AL machine sits alongside the HX220AL, which was launched in June 2019.
Excavators remain the number one piece of construction machinery sold around the world. In 2018, more than 450,000 units were sold globally – with this year expected to break a total sales figure of over 400,000 units – according to figures by specialist research company, Off-Highway Research.

The world’s biggest original equipment manufacturer for the construction industry by sales revenue, Caterpillar, has recently launched two new 30 ton (27.2 tonne) next generation excavators – the 330 and 330 GC.
The market for wheeled loaders in 15 of the largest western European countries came to a shade under 20,000 machines last year, according to specialist consultant and forecasting company Off-Highway Research.
