Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has unveiled its latest concept machine – known as the LX2 – at the Volvo Group Innovation Summit in Berlin, Germany.
The electric compact wheel loader prototype is said to deliver zero emissions, significantly lower noise levels, improved efficiency and reduced operational costs, compared to its conventional counterparts.
Global sales of wheeled loaders in 2018 are expected to reach more than 170,000 units for the first time in five years, according to a new report from specialist consultant and market forecaster Off-Highway Research.

With a maximum working height of 21.81 m (71 ft), this new model is the latest addition to the expanding Genie Xtra Capacitiy (XC) boom lift range.
Like all Genie XC boom lifts, the new S-65 XC boom offers a dual lift capacity of 300 kg (660 lb) unrestricted and 454 kg (1,000 lb) restricted to work with up to three people onboard while still leaving room for tools and jobsite materials.
