Caterpillar has announced availability of its RM400 Rotary Mixer. The new RM400 replaces the RM300 Rotary Mixer and offers many new features and enhancements including 19% more power, an enhanced operating environment, and better manoeuvrability.
Hitachi has unveiled the ZW220-7, it first Stage V-compliant wheel loader. The new machine is said to put operators in complete control of their workspace with industry-leading safety features and comfort in the cab.
Finnish mining business Terrafame has entered into an agreement with equipment dealer Rotator Oy to renew the existing Hitachi mining equipment at their Sotkamo mine in Northern Finland during 2022–2025.
Sandvik has agreed to buy DSI Underground from Triton for €943 million. DSI is a €500 million revenue business that provides ground support and reinforcement technology for underground mines and tunnels.
DSI, which will become part of Sandvik’s Mining and Rock Solutions division, was originally part of the German-based DYWIDAG construction business, which more recently operated as DYWIDAG-Systems International (DSI). It has been owned by European private equity business Triton since 2011.
DSI has 2,000 employees and is active in 70 countries, with 20 production facilities.
DSI Underground’s business includes tunnel reinforcement.
The dates for Spanish construction exhibition Smopyc have shifted again to 17-20 November, 2021. The event was originally scheduled for 1 to 4 April 2020 before being changed to 23 to 26 September, 2020 and then delayed again to 26-29 May 2021.
A statement from organiser Feria de Zaragoza said the change was due to the uncertainties surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic and the likelihood that these would presist in the first months of 2021.

Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe (HCEE) has launched a new 22 tonne crawler excavator, the HX210AL. The new model forms part of the company’s new A-series machines which have been built to create better conditions for operators.
The new HX210AL machine sits alongside the HX220AL, which was launched in June 2019.
